Shop owner and founder, Mary Susan McConnell, has had a life-long love affair with cozy spaces, imaginative art, and the exploration of creativity. As an abstract mixed-media artist, podcaster, and former middle school teacher- Mary Susan loves hosting art nights for her friends, letting kids play in her studio and explore, and pushing individuals to pursue whatever makes their soul zip with joy. Whether it’s finishing a puzzle over coffee or painting by the fire, she hopes to share her love for creativity and connection with her customers.  Hallie Mae’s Cozy Creative Shop was born out of her desire to a) help others tap into their playful side and b) create a community that feels like “Shop Around the Corner”. Hallie Mae’s is a nod to her great-great grandmother Hallie Sue (whose house she accidentally and serendipitously moved within walking distance of in 2013) and Mae Mae, the nickname her little sister gave her when Mary Susan was too hard to say.
